Tour Itinerary
Programme 01: Half-Day Volunteer Program
Duration: 8.00am – 1.00pm
Activities Include:
Daily elephant veterinary check
Cleaning of elephant beds
Washing and feeding of the elephants
Brief educational program on elephants
Programme 02: 1-Day & 1-Night Program
Schedule:
Arrival (previous day): 3.00pm–4.00pm – Orientation and induction, check-in, dinner, overnight stay
7.30am – Prepare elephant vitamins and medications
8.00am – Feed medicines, vitamins, and veterinary check
8.30am – Clean free roaming enclosure and organize enrichment
9.00am – Breakfast 10.00am – Elephant bathing and photo opportunity
11.00am – Clean elephant night beds
12.00pm–2.00pm – Lunch (served at 1.00pm) 2.00pm – Paper factory or Ayurveda garden tour
3.00pm–5.00pm – Project work (gardening, painting, recycling)
5.00pm–6.00pm – Showers and rest
6.00pm – Dinner, certificates, and T-shirts distribution

Age Limits
Applicants between 18–65 years
Applicants above 65 can be considered upon special request

Programme Location
The program takes place 40 km from Kandy city and 90 km from Colombo. Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its religious and historical significance and is surrounded by tropical plantations, mostly tea. It is home to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa).
